Sight Seeing

Raja Seat - This is a scenic park overlooking the valleys and hills. The erstwhile rulers of Kodagu sat here in the evenings. There are many legends attached to this park. This is also famous as Sunset Point.

Abbey Fall - Water falls surrounded by hills and lush green coffee, cardamom, pepper vines is 5 km from Madikeri

Museum - Housed in the Fort. Relics of the past rulers and the soldiers of Coorg are kept here.

Bhagamandala - 35 Kms from Madikeri. Famous for it's Temples and Sangam. Talacauvery is 8 kms away from Marcara where the River Cauvery orignates from.

Harangi Dam - This is a Dam on the River Harangi in idyllic and serene surroundings. It is 35 Kms from Madikeri.

Nisargadhama - It is 2 kms short of Kushalnagar. An island on the River Cauvery connected by a rope bridge. The island is full of Bamboo thickets. Boating and Elephant rides are organized subject to weather conditions.

Elephant Camp - It is 35 Kms from Victory Home and 8 kms from Nisargadhama. An elephant Training Camp run by the the Forest Department where wild tuskers are trained. The camp is across the river cauvery where Ferry service is run by tribals in old canoes.

Kushalnagar - Places of interest in the vicinity of Kushalnagar include Cauvery, Nisargadhama and Bylekuppe. Bylekuppe is the second largest Tibetan settlement outside Tibet, complete with a Tibetan monastery with 7,000 monks. It is popularly known as Golden Temple, a Tibetan village and a flea market.
